Hey random guy on the internet, why haven't you been talking 'bout E3 2012?

For being a person who blogs mostly about video games, you might think it's a wee bit strange that I haven't been keeping up with all the shenanigans that have transpired during the grand event that is the Electronic Entertainment Expo. While it may not seem like it, I actually have been greatly inspecting and following up on countless trailers and media for all sorts of games and announcements. So if this is really truly the case, then why haven't I discussed any of this fantastical news right here on my blog?

Well honestly, I didn't want to simply recycle the same information and news that have spread like wild fire over the past week. There are plenty of other fine websites out there that have covered E3 2012 to a vast degree, literally reporting on every single itty-bitty speck of news that have seeped out of the trade show doors, covering all the various nooks and crannies of the show floor. For my part, I spent time dissecting the whole event, absorbing all the exciting and perhaps not-so-exciting knowledge that the show implanted into my captivated brain.

What does this all mean then? It means that yes, I do want to talk about my feeling on the whole spectacle, as well as discuss the games that stood out to me personally. I plan on writing another blog post talking about all this rather fascinating stuff either tomorrow or in a couple of days, as it's quite a bit of ground to cover.

You see, it recently dawned on me that my blog would merely turn into a hodgepodge of news article after news article from the event with little to no discernible differences from the variety of other bigger and far more fancier sources out there in the intergalactic web. And I don't want my blog to turn into something so easily overlooked and run-of-the-mill. This is a place where sanity tiptoes insanity, where I'm free to express my own personal feelings and opinions. It just so happens that video games are what intrigue me enough to write about them in a consistent manner.

Anyways, E3. It sure was flashy.
