While it's obvious that DICE is still continuing its unrelenting attempts at capturing the Call of Duty crowd, at least this upcoming map pack looks and sounds interesting enough to warrant a purchase.
Battlefield 3 is well-known for its wide open and expansive war zones, but this "Close Quarters" DLC is looking to provide players with more compact and narrow playing fields. The max player count is dropping to 16 to accommodate this tighter level design as well. These new aspects will lead to more destructive environments and a much faster-paced style of game. New dog tags and weapons will also be available.
While at first I scoffed at the idea of Battlefield 3 reducing its large-scale "battlefields" for much smaller-sized maps, these new trailers are actually making the maps and gameplay look quite frantic and fun.
This "Close Quarters" DLC is scheduled to arrive in June.
The tags used in this game are very useful. It make the game so interesting.
