The PlayStation 4 is a great piece of hardware. Sure, there are some nagging issues here and there given the fact that the thing literally just launched, such as some network stability issues, but my experience has been primarily positive. The updated DualShock 4 controller is great as well.
I'm also going to be writing some reviews for the following games listed below this sentence, but here are my snappy thoughts on them at this moment in time:
- Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag — Slow start, but the game is starting to pick up. I am absolutely loving the pirate setting.
- Battlefield 4 — Completely busted for the time being, but when it hasn't crashed, it's been a rather fun time.
- Killzone: Shadow Fall — I finished the campaign, but haven't really delved into the multiplayer yet. All I will say is that I was left disappointed.
- Resogun — Highly entertaining and a great pick up and play type of game. Presentation is very impressive, with all those fancy particle effects and all.
- Trine 2: The Complete Story — Gorgeous art style. It's an enjoyable, puzzle-solving romp so far.
So yeah, PlayStation 4: it's nice to be back, my old friend.
