The Elder Scrolls Online is officially in existence
The upcoming issue of Game Informer has revealed that the next Elder Scrolls game will indeed be an MMORPG.
Being developed by Zenimax Online Studios, this next title in the long-running franchise will be the first to bring the vast landscapes of Tamriel online, as well as allow players to traverse the entire continent. This includes Skyrim, Elsweyr, and "everywhere in between." The game will take place a millennium before the events of Skyrim, detailing the daedric prince Molag Bal's attempt to essentially take over Tamriel.
The new issue will discuss everything from solo questing to public dungeons to even a player-driven PvP mode that will revolve around three warring factions duking it out over Cyrodil and the Emperor's throne in wide-open battles.
A teaser trailer will be released tomorrow, and the game itself is scheduled to come out on the PC and Mac in 2013. Though MMOs are not my thing at all, this new title in The Elder Scrolls series does sound pretty interesting for those who have always wanted to explore the whole region of Tamriel all at once.
