New Super Mario Bros. 2 announced for the 3DS, world reels back from such a shocking revelation

Surprise, surprise. It seems like Nintendo is releasing a new 2D Mario game on the 3DS due out by August 2012 in both Japan and North America. Kinda wish it was more of an original concept than just being a straight up sequel to New Super Mario Bros., but hey, better than nothing I suppose. Not much specific information is know about the title at this point, but the Power Leaf and Raccoon Suit will definitely be returning, and Luigi will be present in the game. As of now, only four screenshots have been released, which can be seen below.
